Dumpster Rental in Richmond, KY

How long can I keep the dumpster on site?

A 7-day rental period is pretty standard, although this can vary by dumpster rental company. Some companies offer 14-day rental periods included in the price while others may charge a fee for each extra day you have the container.

Most companies allow you to keep the container longer by paying a per day or per week rental fee, which typically ranges from $5 to $10 per day (but can vary). A maximum number of days may apply. You can also have the bin picked up earlier than the agreed upon pick-up date by calling the company and requesting a pick-up.

Do dumpster companies recycle the debris?

Some do and some don’t, though it depends mostly on whether recycling facilities are available in your area.  In recent years, recycling efforts have picked up drastically and so an increasing number of roll-off companies are able to offer recycling of C&D (construction and demolition) debris, asphalt roof shingles, concrete, and some other debris types.  General household trash is not recyclable and generally ends up in the landfill.

The best way to know if your debris is recycled is to first ask if it’s offered. If so, you’ll need to keep recyclables in a separate dumpster. For example, concrete debris should go in one dumpster and non-recyclable mixed trash in another.
