Trash Tips for Residents of Knoxville, TN

Curbside service is provided by Waste Connections

Knoxville has a contract with Waste Connections to handle curbside trash hauling and bulk waste removal services. However, you can choose to rent a dumpster from any private company.

***Construction and demolition (C&D) debris is not collected by Waste Connections. This includes materials like concrete, wood, rock and brick.

The City offers courtesy boxes

Residents are able to obtain a dumpster from the City of Knoxville up to 2 times per year. There are restrictions on what you can put in the box, including tires, dirt, construction debris and more.

***The waiting period can be as long as 6 weeks due to limited supply. Rent a dumpster from a private company for quicker service.
