The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, or ACEEE, has released its 2013 energy efficiency scorecard which ranks each of the 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia based on its energy and sustainability commitments.
For the third year in a row, Massachusetts locked up the top spot. California and New York round out the top 3 most energy efficient states. If you live in North Dakota, Wyoming, South Dakota, Alaska or Mississippi, get a pen a paper and start writing to your government representatives to push legislation aimed at improving the state’s energy efficiency woes because these states are ranked at the bottom of list.
