Roll off dumpster costs and fees

Roll-off rentals typically come with a standard 7-day rental period and include all of the fees upfront (e.g., “base rate” described below). The “other fees” section below describes fees that may or may not apply in your situation.

Base rate: (based on national averages) 10 yard -- $250; 20 yard -- $350; 30 yard -- $400; 40 yard -- $450.

Other fees: Overage fees -- $50-$100 per ton over the weight allowance; “special wastes” disposal (e.g., tires) – cost varies; extending the duration of the rental -- $10-$25 per day.

What are roll off dumpsters used for?

They’re a very versatile disposal solution that can be used for a variety of cleanups. Here are several examples:

  • Concrete patio or driveway removal
  • Renovation or remodeling projects
  • Roofing repairs and replacements
  • Home or business cleanouts
  • Neighborhood cleanup events
  • New construction

Wastes that usually cannot by disposed of in dumpsters include household hazardous wastes (HHWs), appliances containing Freon, scrap tires and electronics (e-wastes).
