We hired the Junk Man in July to remove items from our house and garage. I had a small pile of items sitting in front of the house (about 6 feet from our entrance). On each side of our entrance we had a vintage elephant plant table that was brought over from Saigon back in the 1960's by my Aunt. They took one of the elephants. When I ask him about it, he said "I wondered if they should have been thrown away - didn't seem like trash". He never asked us - just threw it away. I called him the next day to have him file a claim with his insurance and he said he didn't have any. The elephants are very expensive to replace and I asked for some compensation. We agreed on a figure and he said he would mail us a check. I have reached out at least 6 times and have heard nothing from him. Very disappointing - I believed he would do the right thing.
