Roll Off Dumpster Tips for Cape Cod, MA

Roll-Off Dumpsters

How much weight is included with my roll-off rental?

Generally, the bigger the container, the more weight you are allowed. Here are some rough estimates:
  • 10 yarder: 1-3 tons of included weight
  • 20 yarder: 3 tons of included weight
  • 30 yarder: 3-4 tons of included weight
  • 40 yarder: 4-6 tons of included weight
Some rental providers offer unlimited weight with each rental, however, you are not allowed to overload the dumpster beyond a certain point. For example, there may be a “fill line” painted on the inside of the container you must keep the debris level below. Other rental providers charge you almost exclusively by weight rather than charging you a base rate + including a weight allowance. This is an affordable choice if your debris is lightweight, such as lumber or household trash. This may not always be cost-effective for heavy debris, such as concrete or roofing shingles.
