Dumpster Rental Tips for Mountain View, CA
Do I need a permit for my dumpster rental?
To place a dumpster in the public right-of-way, like a sidewalk or city street, you must submit a Temporary Encroachment Permit to the city.
There are several rules you must follow as well, including:
- Keeping the debris box at least 6 ft from any driveway
- Keeping it clear of loading zones or no parking zones
- Keeping it 15 ft from all fire hydrants
- Placing it on a street that is at least 36 ft wide
