Info to Know when Renting a Dumpster in Fresno, CA

You must choose a roll-off container rental from a city-approved hauler.

All commercial dumpster servicing at businesses and multi-family homes must be completed by a franchised waste hauler approved by the City.

Construction and demolition (C&D) debris must be recycled.

All C&D debris of 8 cubic yards or more must be sorted at any of the three area sorting facilities.

This rule is only in effect if the construction or demolition project is permitted. Smaller amounts of C&D debris don't necessarily have to be sent to these facilities.

What’s Fresno doing in regards to recycling?

The City has made great strides in recent years regarding recycling. On average, about 50% of the waste in dumpsters is recycled. This is in align with California’s mandate that half of all waste be recycled.

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?

Usually a phone call is required to the hauler to get an exact price because the type of debris and the city you live in can change the price significantly.  Some waste removal companies listed on Hometown Dumpster Rental do publish their prices.  If so, you can find the link to their prices on their company profile.

Dumpster rental pricing can actually be a bit complicated if you've never rented one before.  One feature of temporary dumpster prices that surprises first time renters... you can actually end up paying more than you thought, depending on the weight of your dumpster.  Check out our beginner's guide to dumpster rental prices for more info.

We've also done a number of nationwide pricing surveys and comparisons that can help you understand costs in your area.
