Dumpster Rental Tips for Lakewood, CO
Are permits necessary if your dumpster is in the public right-of-way?
According to Ordinance 8.14.028 for the City of Lakewood Health and Sanitation Department, a permit is necessary to place a temporary dumpster in the public right-of-way.
This refers to the obstruction of any sidewalk or city street.
The good news is that there is no charge for this permit. However, there are certain regulations and terms you must comply with in order to get approved for the permit. (Check with the City Clerk's Office for more information regarding terms.)
You also cannot place a temporary dumpster in the public right-of-way for longer than 30 days unless an extension is obtained.
